Wow well that was really good fun! I’m back to my normal work and feel somehow that I’m missing out on fast paced chat rooms and quirky questions. I really enjoyed taking part, getting to know the students and learning a bit along the way. The other scientists were great and I definitely learnt from them. There were fun questions like “Could you make a pig fly?”, tricky stimulating ones discussing the morals of scientific progress and then ones on Quantum Mechanics / String Theory that you can really get your teeth into.
A big thank you to everyone who took part and to the students who took the time to think up such thought provoking questions. Thank you for voting me the Winner of the Palladium Zone as well! I’m quite excited about using the money to build lots of mini-experiments that I can take to schools for the students to play with, explore and figure out. Hopefully it will stimulate curiosity and get people asking ‘how does that happen?’ and inspire them to go on and find out why things are the way they are.
